Mercury Mountaineer

The new Mercury vehicle that will be offered with a seven seat passenger will be their very mew Mountaineer; this Mountaineer is also going to be their new SUV body on frame construction vehicle.
However with this new Mountaineer you are surely going to find that this new Mountaineer will have many similar features as the Ford Explorer, which ironically there is to be a Explorer soon hitting the market again.

This Mountaineer, you may not know this but it will soon begin disappearing from the market so if you want one of these this might be your last chance.

This Mountaineer was launched only in 2006 but the new models really have only got a few changes now.
Their new design is not going to be very new in fact, it still looks very much like one of the first models; and even though it has quite a few things that look very similar to the Ford cars, there is no Sync Connect from Ford which is usually present in most of the Ford vehicles.

There are not even any changes to the engine either; there are no Eco-Boost V-6 motors now which would usually be present in most of the crossovers of today.
This Mountaineer however still offers a very nice ride which is what we are all looking for; even the towing ability with this car is very impressive in deed.

Even when you are thinking about going off road then you are sure to find a great experience when you are driving also.
This new Mountaineer can actually not even cost that much either, it would be perfect for those really looking for a smooth ride especially for off road experiences also.

This is only going to be available in a SUV style however but there is a few choices over engines including the V-8 4.6 liter and the V-6 4.0 liter engine also.
You can choose however over the models of this Mountaineer such as the Premier V-8, the V6 and the Premier V-6. The transmissions however will either be the five speed automatic or the six speed automatic.

If you want to know what is exactly new for the Mercury Mountaineer will be the Trailer Sway Control which you will find to be a standard feature.
There is also the new and upgraded one hundred and ninety watt stereo with six speakers; though there is the new moon roof which has become a standard feature to the Premier model.

Your exterior will now showcase the Mercury grille which is now vertical but that helps to show a nice soft side to the vehicle.
The back end will have some nice chrome accent strips to the fascia as well as the new clear tail lamps also.

You will have a choice however over the number of seating you wish to have inside the Mountaineer; you could just have two rows of seating or if you would like, you could have three rows of seating also.
If you do go for the third row of seating then this is going to be very uncomfortable for three adults, it might be suited for kids. For the cargo space the most amount of space available will be around the eighty five cubic feet range.

With the V-6 4.0 liter engine you are going to get a massive two hundred and ten of hp with around two hundred and fifty four lb-ft torque with the towing capacity of five thousand pounds.
If you were to go for the V-8 engine then this engine you will find is not great, especially when it comes to fuel efficiency. There is a torque of three hundred and fifteen lb-ft with two hundred and ninety two hp but it could manage to tow a massive seven thousand and forty pounds of weight. If you were to go for the V-6 engine then that will work with the five speed transmission whereas the V-8 works with the six speed automatic transmission.

There will be six airbags however including with this Mountaineer which will have side curtains available for all passengers. This helps to work with the roll stability control system also.

For the fuel economy it will be a little impressive with the V-8 and V-6 all wheel drive will both be very similar with them reaching nineteen mpg for the highway and fourteen and thirteen mpg for the city.
